This is my personal website. I don't run analytics on it, there are no forms, and I'm not trying to learn anything about you. Here's what actually happens when you visit.
What the site collects
Nothing, on purpose. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no ads, and no sign-ups. The site doesn't set any cookies.
What stays in your browser
If you switch between light and dark mode, the site remembers your pick in your browser's local storage, under the name "theme". It stays on your device, and clearing your browser's site data gets rid of it.
If you click my email address, the site copies it to your clipboard. That happens in your browser too, and nothing gets sent anywhere.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes basic request info, such as your IP address, your browser, and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the site and keep it safe. That part is covered by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
The fonts are hosted right here, so loading a page doesn't call out to a font service.
Links to other places
I link to X, GitHub, LinkedIn, Instagram, Medium, and a few of my other projects. Once you click through, you're on their site and under their privacy policy, not mine.
Email and RSS
If you email me at jeremy@jscollins.co, I get your address and whatever you wrote. I use it to reply. I don't share it, and I won't add you to a list.
The RSS feed is a plain file. Your feed reader fetches it like any other page.
If this changes
Right now there's nothing to opt out of. If that changes, this page will too, and the date at the top will move.
